Here is the February AZMS Open Meta Breakdown
Combo popular enough?
New year new local meta. Looks like this event Combo players came out to play. The 2 decks that were the most represented for this event were Reanimator and Sneak/Show decks. Both were represented with 3 players each. Goblins and lands came in second with 2 players each and the rest of the field was diverse.
Reanimator is no doubt the strongest and most popular deck online. So it was not surprising to see that deck. The one that shocked people was seeing so many Sneak and Show decks. No one was really prepared for this deck. Everyone always has their graveyard hate but what do you do when the creature is put directly into play? Lose I guess. The fun this is they share Atraxa as the same creature since it has beat out Gristlebrand a long time ago.
What happened to Nadu?
Nadu used to be the second most popular combo deck here locally. Dont know if people got tired of it or just dont think its in a good place. We only had 1 player out of 27 represent The Bird.
After this we will have to see if people with show up with more interesting things for the next one. Here are all the decks that showed up.
