There have been several good cards making a splash in Legacy.
Toucan for Breakfast?
Nadu has really made a splash in modern. They have slotted this in Cephalid breakfast. Going from 3 cards to 4 to go through the deck faster.
Who needs more POSTS?
12 Post got a huge upgrade. Planar Nexus makes this deck have 4 more post for Glittering and Glimmering post. Since Planar Nexus counts as the urza land types they have slotted urzas tower into the list as well. 4 Mana from Nexus and Tower. It also filters for green to cast crop rotation and a new eldrazi. Sowing Mycospawn. This creature for 4 mana gets you any land from your deck untapped if it can be. The extra umph is kicking it to exile a land of your choice.
Mono Red Stompy
These 2 have been added to the prison / stompy decks. Vexing Bauble is the first helpful card for the deck. Being able to stop free spells which alot of decks use ( Grief, Solitude, Force of Will, Force of Negation, Force of Vigor, and 0 cost artifacts). Sundering Eruption is a new spell land. This gives you a land destruction spell that can be used against alot of the decks that run little to no basics.
Did you say Combo?
The second best combo deck went mono back spells with these 2 new spells. The spell lands have been very useful for oops all spells. A second combo deck came about with Necrodominance. They both are not in a great spot at the moment and are very fragile to counterspells.
The last thing to note from this set.....
The next card has made a splash in the most popular deck in the format. Psychic Frog has been an easy inclusion in all the Dimir lists. Be it reanimator, or scam.
